Reviews of 1953 Siem Reap Hostel

the family-run hostel was clean and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They assisted us in organizing tours for Angkor Wat, making our visit much easier. the location is excellent, just a short 5-8 minute walk from the central area, pub street. Despite being on a busy road with many restaurants, the hostel itself is tucked away, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes.

this hostel was even better than my previous stay in siem reap. the staff went above and beyond, helping with transportation and recommending places to eat. the swimming pool was clean and refreshing, and the rooms were immaculate. the cherry on top was the receptionist calling a bus company for our late pickup. definitely recommended!
Wifi was unreliable and blocked websites.

Soo comfy communal area, staff gave me free jackfruit , and a tuk tuk driver that actually knew what he was doing. Brilliant!
WiFi was a joke, but who needs the internet when you can't access Angkor Wat's website anyway? And the bar.

I recently stayed at a family-run hostel in a central location for 5/8 minutes walk to pub street and surrounded by restaurants. The private room was clean and well-equipped, including a fridge, kettle, and bathrobes. The staff was extremely helpful and arranged tours for Angkor Wat. The pool was refreshing after visiting temples, and they even provided complementary tea, coffee, and drinking water. I highly recommend this hotel for its friendly atmosphere and excellent facilities.
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

The couple who run the hostel were incredibly accommodating, helping with bike rentals and extending our stay. The double room we stayed in was cozy and comfortable, with a pool to cool off in. The staff were kind and caring, and the location was convenient, with many places to eat and do laundry nearby.
Felt really welcomed, nothing to complain about.

We got incredible value for our money at 1953. The rooms were clean and comfortable with big beds and it was so quiet at night. The staff treated us like family and even gave us homegrown jackfruit as a kind gesture. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the night market and pub street.
The morning meal could have been better if there was always someone there to prepare breakfast on time.

We had a fantastic stay at this hidden gem! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making our visit truly memorable. The hotel's excellent value for money was evident in its clean and comfortable rooms, complete with spacious bathrooms. The location couldn't have been better, with numerous restaurants and markets just a short walk away. We especially loved the refreshing pool, perfect for cooling off in the hot weather. we highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding service and convenient location.
Our only minor issue was the need to log in to the wifi every time we wanted to connect.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice pool, friendly staff, close to Pub Street but still quiet for a good night's sleep.
Felt so at home, no complaints.

The staff were really friendly and always helpful during our stay. They even offered us complimentary water, which was a nice touch. The location was great, with plenty of good restaurants and markets within walking distance. Additionally, the pool was a big plus, especially after a long day of sightseeing.
The wifi was quite bad at times, especially in the evenings. It was also unclear whether the kitchen was open for food or not.

The bathrooms at 1953 Siem Reap Hostel are amazing! They have showers, complimentary toiletries, and even provide slippers! I felt so pampered during my stay and it made me feel at home. The perfect place for a light sleeper like me.
The only thing I didn't like was that the bathrooms only had complimentary toiletries.

I absolutely loved the decoration at this hostel! It had such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with beautiful traditional Cambodian artwork and vibrant colors. The general areas, like the communal spaces and the pool/bar area, were very well-maintained and comfortable. As a senior woman, I also found the hotel's accessibility to be excellent. The location was just a short walk away from the central area, making it easy for me to explore the nearby restaurants and attractions at my own pace.
I would have asked for better accessibility features for senior people. It would have been helpful if the children working there had provided more assistance or had additional amenities specifically designed for older guests.
